WRITE THE WRONG High School Essay Competition
jhr (Journalists for Human Rights) is launching its second annual high school essay competition! Write the Wrong is a nation-wide competition created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of the Child.
This year, we are accepting essays from high school students on the topic of a child’s rights. What human rights issue(s) has the international community failed to address or should address? Short listed essays will be judged by a range of individuals in the human rights and media fields.
Please send essays to brett@jhr.ca. For more information on submission guidelines or to see the 2009 Write the Wrong essay winner, please visit our website: http://www.jhr.ca/writethewrong . Looking forward to reading your essays!
